I thought I would try my hand at the new Little Mermaid pan.

Perfect!!!!! I love your work....please share how you did the face and arms, my niece wants Ariel for her birthday theme and I would love to try this.

Wow that's amazing. I love Arial. So my guess for the face...did you press fondant into the pan for a mold and place it on the cake? She is porcelien smooth.

I bought this pan from a local cake shop here. It is one of the new Wilton pans, but you can not get it on their website yet. I am sure Michaels will carry it soon. The face is done in fondant. I just roll it out, dust my pan with corn starch and press the fondant into the pan to get the impression. You then place your fondant directly onto the cake (with smooth buttercream under like usual). The shells are candy molds that I dusted with violet pearls luster dust, and the flowers I made out of fondant

may i know where you bought the pan from? is it possible to buy it online? i laso want to know how you did the seashells and flowers - are they candy melts?
