I experimented a bit with this cake--I made a diet soda cake (cake mix with one can of diet soda instead of the oil, water, and eggs called for on the box), added one box of coconut pudding mix, 1/3 package each of lemon, lime, and orange jello mix, and a tiny bit of vanilla and orange extracts. For the frosting I boiled Mt. Dew down into a concentrated syrup, and added that to my bc instead of any extract. I also added a little of the citrus jello powders (1 tsp each, approx.). It turned out really well!

Your cake looks beautiful and I bet delicious.
Very pretty. I really like the flowers.
I never heard of a Mt. Dew cake. Did you just add Mt. Dew instead of water?
