This is totally off-season, but I joined the site recently and wanted to add this photo. The menorah was a piping gel transfer that I filled in with buttercream.

Thanks for the compliments! Honestly, I think the basketweave was beginner's luck as it was only my second basketweave cake, and I've made another one since then that wasn't nearly as nice! I just marked the vertical lines on my cake, and did the standard technique taught in the level 2 class--horizontal lines across the vertical ones, marking the spacing with the height of the tip. I made this cake for my inlaws last year.

I just saw this today when I was surfing. How did you get your basketweave so perfect. I would love to make this for my inlaws for the Jewish Hannakah. Jewish by marriage. Catholic by being brainwashed!
