Baby Shower Cake Displayed

Baby Shower Cake Displayed on Cake Central

This is the "Peachy Mother to be" cake I entered in the baby shower cake contest last month. (it was a tough competition with all the awesome cakes that were entered!!) This is how I displayed it using wooden blocks my husband made for me as cake risers. I wrapped the boxes in the same covering as the cake board. Sure wished I had more flowers to deco that table with but I didn't know they would be needed! The lower riser held a silver baby carriage with matching flowers and a gift tag.

Very nice work...love all the flowers and the colours. I'm making this cake design (pregnant belly) next week after seeing it here on CC! It looks lik fun! Did you use a ball pan? It looks like an oval

Hey flourgrl! I just left you a comment on your BEAUTIFUL cake too! I used an egg pan actually! The round ones are too "round" for me. LOL You will enjoy making it. It is fun! Can't wait to do another one!

Very creative! What did you do for the top? Cupcakes? Boy I need to learn how to use fondant!!!!! Oh great idea for the gift card! I frequently give a cake as gift . Even though they take 3 days to make sometimes I feel as I came w/o a gift since there is nothing to unwrap.
