My Easter Cake
This was my first time doing pansys, for some reason i thought they were going to be really hard, so i never attemped them, but i found out in fact they are very easy. This is my favorite cake ive done so far.

VERY BEAUTIFUL !! Your basketweave looks almost real !! and I really like your borders!!

VERY nice job. Are the pansy's done in buttercream or royal icing?
Thanks! The pansys are buttercream, I had to stick them in the fridge to make them harden up a bit, then peel them off the wax paper VERY carefully. lol
Wow, buttercream. That is fantastic. I tried doing some in buttercream and they sure didn't turn out like yours. Now that I know it can be done, I'll give it another shot. Thanks for the inspiration.

Cake is beautiful....love the basketweave. I did a cake with pansies and used the royal icing which hardens a little more and not quite as brittle but I must try the buttercreme also.
