This was a recent wedding cake which was originally meant to be plain with the roses, but after seeing photos of the bride's dress I suggested we put pleats and brooches on to emulate the design, and then pearlised the whole cake which gave it a resemblance to the silk of her dress.

The roses are actually a deep cerise, although they look more red in the photo!
