I saw this "Apple Pie Cake" tutorial by Elisa Strauss and HAD to try it. I used a 9 inch foil baking pan, baked a spice apple cake and split it and filled and frosted it with salted caramel buttercream. I used fondant to shape the pie crust. I love the way it turned out!
