First Basketweave
This is my first try at the basketweave and the rope border. I LOVED doing the basketweave! I was disappointed that I was not able to mound the center of the flowers like I wanted but I discovered that the top of the cake would be too tall for the top of the cake taker if I increased the height of the flowers. I bought a larger cake taker and you can bet I'm going to try it again. I really enjoyed doing that design. So much fun!!
GREAT job on the basket weave!! It's very even and straight!! Your rope border is just as nice and I love the flowers on top!! Your colors are so soft!! Great job! Can't wait to see the next one!!
I love the way your cake looks! I would not have made a mound on this one myself. The effect is perfect jus the way it is!
You did an awsome job! Aren't those classes fun! I did them last fall and now I'm addicted!
I hope to take some classes one day. Right now I'm trying to teach myself from books which is difficult because instructions are very confusing to me. But I'll get there. Thanks so much for the compliment. It encourages me to keep going.

What type of flowers are those?
It was an attempt at the primrose :o) They would have turned out better if I had used royal icing but everyone likes the buttercream flavor best.
