this was a huge 9 inch round x 8 layer cake, approx 12 inches tall, covered with fondant. the handle is rice krispies covered with fondant. the center support was a hollow stainless steel tube 1/2 inch wide x 12 inches tall, bolted from the bottom of an 18 inch wooden round using an 8 inch screw. the bottle was suspended via sugar/corn syrup mixture onto a 1/8 inch threaded metal rod, bent at 45 degree angle, that slipped down into the hollow tube. i was able to transport the cake with the bottle/poured beer part separate from the cake. the foam is melted marshmallow. will never use it again. it looks very realistic, but i couldnt cut through it. had to pull it all off, which took off the top layer of frosting. will use softened buttercream next time.
