40Th Bday Pt 2!
OK, so here's the second cake that will go with the electric guitar cake that I posted yesterday. Double layer 9x13in vanilla cakes with 10in oval cut in half at the ends (thanks to Doug for his mathmatical/engineering advice!). Filled with vanilla buttercream & strawberry preserves. Covered with fondant, fondant name & number. Paddle made from dowel and thin card. Person made from vanilla cake in the 3D teddy pan and decorated with vanilla buttercream.

This is great! My parents are great kayakers...would love to attempt something like this for them (although it won't be near as good :))
