i think it looks good. esp for your 1st time. Looks like your bc may have been a bit to soft . I use a stiff consistency bc when doing my roses. HTH

How did you get the roses/cupcakes to not fall down?

I used a styrofoam ball, put cupcakes on toothpicks, and literly iced them in the fridge
