This was a collaboration between myself and the customer. She is a friend, who also happens to specialise in sculpture. To tell you the truth, only the bottom 4.5" of this is cake... the rest is carved polystyrene (styrofoam)! She did the carving and together we covered it with real chocolate paste and sugarpaste, then textured it and made all the decorations. The factory on top is also covered polystyrene. The trees are mini marshmallows onto chocolate trees (with wire frames). With all that chocolate paste and real chocolate for the river and the cake board, this smelt amazing!!!!
