First Fondant Covered Cake

First Fondant Covered Cake on Cake Central

This is a two layer French Vanilla cake with lilac marble, covered with Marshmallow Fondant. I'm very pleased with how it came out. Instead of the regular marshmallows, I used the marshmallow fluff and just added the confectioners sugar to it, did not need to microwave

great cake! What size jar did you use of the Marshmallow fluff? About how much PS did you use. Also did you mix it by hand or in the mixer? How was the constancy? Easy to work with? hehe, ok enough questions-love the sides of the cake!

I used the 16 oz size of marshmallow fluff.i mixed it by hand but you could use a mixer. It has a vey smooth and pliable consistency.. I found it very easy to work with. I used the roll and cut mat from wilton to roll the fondant. I had to first rub it with vegettable shortening to prevent it from sticking.

Just gorgeous. Love the repetition of the ball border on the scroll detail. Lavendar blossoms add just the right touch of color! You should post the recipe and directions for your mmf, bet a lot of us would love to have it. :D
