I made this cake for our family vacation. Each element on it are highlights from our vacation last year. Hubby's uncle has a beautiful garden and pergola, which is where we spent most of our vacation when we weren't at the beach. The top tier is a Chocolate Grappa Cake and the bottom 2 tiers are golden sponge cake. All covered with my homemade marshmallow fondant. The decorations are Gum paste flowers and shells, chocolate shells and Buddha, and a modeling chocolate pergola floor and path. The grass, hastas, and trellis are buttercream.
