I feel honoured to have my Tale of Johnny Town Mouse baby shower cake included in Cake Central Magazine's special Beatrix Potter edition (vol 4, issue 6)! The basket weave on the top and bottom tier was hand rolled, cut and pieced. The painted monocrome vignettes that encircle the middle tier depict scenes from the story. Timmy Willie, the strawberries and pea were modeled from fondant and the leave umbrella, gumpaste.
