Sesame Street Cupcakes
These cupcakes were inspired by a posting from bkrmama and I found the Ernie cupcakes on a Sesame Street site. I had these for my son's party and then made more (plus Elmo) for my son's daycare class. The kids all started shouting out the character names! These were REALLY easy and quick to make. About an hour for 26 or so. I had all the colors ready. The eyes are marshmallows with a dot of dark chocolate or black frosting. All the rest is tinted buttercream (except Big Bird's beak). Enjoy!
OMG! I love them! They're SO cute!!!
Very very cute! What did you use to get the colors so vibrant??
Wonderful, I know lots of kids would like these.
that is the cutest thing I have seen all day!!!
They´re beatiful...
my DD would do back flips.
They are too cute!
Cute! How do you make the texture for the fur?
Thank you for all the compliments! They were a blast to make. I used Wilton colors - a darker blue, lemon yellow, Pooh red, very green, and I mixed the yellow and red to make the orange. I am not sure which number the tip is, but it has a bunch of tiny holes on the top -it is about the size of a mini-marshmallow in size. I worked from the rim of the cupcake in towards the center. For Cookie and Oscar's mouths, I used chocolate frosting with a little black tint and drew on the mouth first.
