A Cake I finished in record time, 6 hours… :) ...
What saved me really was using candy clay (wilton candy melts + corn syrup) per Jessicakes blog recipe. There was virtually very little drying time and I was able to attach immediately to the cake. PLUS, kids were able to eat it (vs. gum paste or fondant mixed with tylose). Plus, they have such bright colors now I didn’t have to color them.
