Last August, I was asked to create a cake in honour of a couple’s 25 years of service at Bendale Bible Chapel. Dean and Cindy are an integral part of this church community and, in fact, Dean was the pastor at my wedding ceremony almost five years ago. In keeping with the silver anniversary theme, I airbrushed the bottom tier silver and incorporated a riser adorned with my favourite rhinestone embellishment. I also highlighted the edges of the top tier with edible silver paint and added tiny silver dragees at the base. I chose to make the peonies blue because it’s Cindy’s favourite colour.
