Jungle cake with mini cupcakes....

This week I had three cakes to make - a wedding, a 30th and this one, a 1st Birthday.....and this was my favourite.....kids cakes are so much fun to do. It was also my first attempt at 'zebra-ing' (lol if that were even a word) the inside of the cake and it didn't turn out too bad......if it had been cut on an angle...it would look even better. Cake was white chocolate mud filled with white chocolate buttercream and then covered in thick (as you can see from the pic) white chocolate ganache with a very thin layer of fondant (lol even though I were not eating this cake...I am not a fan of thick fondant)... This came made me smile and I confess I kept peaking at it everytime I walked past the box until it was collected. All decorations were handmade and edible...
