This was a 30th birthday cake. This was my first time making such a large cake. It's a full size guitar. I had some challenges covering it with fondant. The only edible part is the body of the guitar. The neck and head are made out of foam core covered in fondant. And the strings are made with 1mm elastic cord that is used for jewelery. I have to thank the CCer who posted that in a thread. I covered the MDF board with sheet music downloaded from the internet and covered it with clear contact paper and wrapped the edge with ribbon.
