Pastel Wedding Cake

Pastel Wedding Cake on Cake Central

This is a cake that I ALWAYS wanted to make....the version that inspired me was in round tiers and had lots of scroll work...I like the square look and since i can't do scrolls...i opted for tracing a pattern with royal and sticking it on...also...the inspiration cake had a bow at the top...and i didnt like how that looked either, so i scrapped it comments/critiques appreciated... also, with this cake i learned not to bother w/bc under the fondant...top tiers w/bc, 2 bottom without..

I just put plastic wrap over the dummies, and then right before I applied the fondant, I wet the plastic wrap, and it was fine

This is really very pretty. Although it's simple, it's extremely effective and your work is very nice. I'll bet you could successfully take a pattern press and put the tiniest indent on the fondant and it would be just as successful! It's really lovely.

Very beautiful. I love the colors and the pattern. Did you just trace with royal on waxed paper? Then stuck it on after it hardened or did you trace the design on the cake and do the royal straight there?
