Pastel Wedding Cake
This is a cake that I ALWAYS wanted to make....the version that inspired me was in round tiers and had lots of scroll work...I like the square look and since i can't do scrolls...i opted for tracing a pattern with royal and sticking it on...also...the inspiration cake had a bow at the top...and i didnt like how that looked either, so i scrapped it comments/critiques appreciated... also, with this cake i learned not to bother w/bc under the fondant...top tiers w/bc, 2 bottom without..
very pretty colors, love the desing
Very nice. Did the fondant on the bottom 2 layers stick to the cake ok without the buttercream?
I just put plastic wrap over the dummies, and then right before I applied the fondant, I wet the plastic wrap, and it was fine
Your cake is so beautiful, how long did it take to make? How did it taste w/o bc under the fondant?
absolutely beautiful!
It's a dummie...I didn't taste it LOL

Sooooo very pretty. Great job.
very pretty scrollwork!!
Beautiful cake, love the colors
This is really very pretty. Although it's simple, it's extremely effective and your work is very nice. I'll bet you could successfully take a pattern press and put the tiniest indent on the fondant and it would be just as successful! It's really lovely.
the colours are amazing! and the detail scrolls make the cake! No bow needed!
No BC on the bottom tiers? That was a crazy move but it worked! I love this cake!
8O WOW, very elegent, :princess: like the colors, rich looking :)

wow, you can see the difference between the BC tiers and the non BC tiers... a beautiful design!
Very beautiful. I love the colors and the pattern. Did you just trace with royal on waxed paper? Then stuck it on after it hardened or did you trace the design on the cake and do the royal straight there?
This cake is beautiful! I LOVE the colors! :D
