Spring Birthday Cake
made this cake for my mom's birthday. top tier is french vanilla, bottom is lemon. i used the butter crisco instead of the regular and while i've never had problems before, this time was terrible! soft icing + ohio's first 70 degree day = flowers sliding off the cake as i applied them! not good. she loved it anyway. and at least the lemon cake tasted great with the icing. accented with silk butterflies on floral wire.

thanks everyone for your kind comments. esp. since i nearly cried while making it! it's depressing to see flowers just slide down the sides as you put them on :cry:!
