"groovy" Tie-Dye Cake

The inside of this cake is tie-dye also! The smiley on top is a rice krispie treat. The tie-dye patterns are icing transfers. This cake was so fun to make!!!

Thanks so much everyone!!! This cake was so much fun to make!!! Yes, the cake is covered in icing transfers. I had a picture of the tie dye and I put it on a disc on my computer, then I took it to Phototfrost who printed it out for me. Your local grocery store does this also. I just applied them to the sides and it was that easy. For the inside, I used white cake and just colored it.

After looking at all of your cakes, the one thing I noticed, and admire, is that your attention to detail is superb! When looking at your cake, it takes a few moments to let it all sink in. It comes at you from every angle and every form, and the busy-ness of each creation just makes you stand back in awe. Fantastic!

I was just told that my neice would like a tie-dye graduation cake. Do you think it would be possible to do this on a large cake? Where did you get the tie-dye design? Any help you could provide me would be super. This cake is so awesome..
