If they can't have hockey, let them eat cake. A seven inch red velvet cake filled and coated with white chocolate sour cream ganache. Then I used black candy clay to cover. To get a good sharp edge I chilled it with the ganache, cut a strip for the side and did the top separately. The logo combines fondant (the white and the orange) and candy clay. The birthday boy was 'way happy' with the result and from someone who doesn't normally eat sweets at all, his "it tasted as good as it looked" was a high compliment indeed.
