Top layer is almond cake w/almond custard filling. Bottom layer is butter white cake. All covered in buttercream. Pirouline cookies surround the top tier. Thanks to all who posted how to decorate cake with piroulines and also how to decorate with fresh flowers. I opted for blobs of buttercream on top of cake, then cut rose stems as short as possible and just placed on top of the blobs. Food safe and everyone enjoyed it. Don't do cakes much anymore, but I'm proud of how this one turned out.
