I made this cake for my niece's 6th birthday. I carved the rocks from fudge cake, then filled the 'rocks' with chocolate ganache and buttercream. The cake is covered in fondant with brown sugar 'sand'. I made the seaweed, mermaid, and other decorations from modeling chocolate.
