Hawaiian Baby Shower
My first commisioned cake. Customers friend is moving to Hawaii before having her baby boy so that is the reasoning behind the theme and color scheme of the cake. All deco is fondant with the exception of the surf board which is white chocolate painted with luster dust and gel color.
What a great cake! The shade of blue on the bottom cake is really nice. What color(s) did you use for that? And your chubby fondant babe is adorable!!! :D
It is wilton Delphinium blue with some wilton blue mixed in. Just a little wilton blue. Thanks for the compliment :)
How did you make the flowers on the lower part of the cake. I want to attempt this for my little sisters baby shower.
I used a batick (sp?) stamping set from Stampin up along with luster dusts and gel colors mixed in Lemon Extract...make sure you post pics when your done so we can see!
