Gothic Fairy Take Two

Just posted this picture as it shows a lot more detail in the dress and the cake board than the ones i took last night. This one was taken in daylight. It helped a lot.

Modelled!? That is AMAZING! So much for my round little faces with slits for a mouth and tiny ball for a nose. LOL That's a work of art Nati.

Some people have asked how big she was, I measured her before she got taken away yesterday and she is 38cm tall, or 14.8 inches tall. The very bottom of her skirt is an 8 inch cake.

Dydemus, i used gumpaste, and i covered it in white vegetable fat, and used a balling tool for most of the shapes. I actually made holes for the eye sockets, and let the face dry like that, i then put white paste into them and coloured them. Very time consuming.

The features were painted with americolours mixed with lemon extract and a very thin brush. The thickest part of the hair were done using a sugacraft gun, the fridge was rolled by hand.

Amazing as always Nati! I don't know how you do such detail! My fingers are too big! I especially love her hair. Was it hand rolled? Oops, found the answer on the closeup! Beautiful!

Your Gothic Fairy is great I would like to know how you got that navy blue colour. I had to do it for a wedding cake and no matter how I tried I could not get mine that colour.
