Madagascar Birthday Cake
I ditched the idea of a frosted cake with Madagascar figurines on it for my son's third birthday party. If you haven't seen the movie, this is what Alex the Lion is always eating. This is a test cake since it's my first time working with fondant. I wasn't coordinated enough to do the "fat" in one long strip, so it's lumpy where it connects. Any tips on that would be appreciated. I'll be piping a bed of leaves around it when I do the real thing. This would be a fun cake for a BBQ, too.
I'll take mine medium rare, OK? That is a good job of making a steak.
How clever! I like this cake!!!!
Awesome job! My husband would LOVE it.... Great Idea!!!!!! I would say that maybe instead of "overlaping" the fondant on the sids, try to join it together like a seam...? Might take some pratice, but it's an idea.
that's so neat! :D a steak cake!
Oh my goodness, This cake rocks, Groom's cake all the way. Adding to my favs.
great idea done well..
I love it. My husband is a steak man and this will make a great Fathers Day cake. Awesome job....cool idea.
That's cute! I saw it and with the title, I could immediately see it in the movie. Great job!
