this cake is two layers. The top layer is actually styrofoam iced in bc frosting. This was to support the castle on top. The steps are cut from a pound cake and the flowers are bc. It has all of the disney princess' on it.
I cut cake as wide and tall as I would want a step to be. I actually used a sara lee pound cake because it is good and firm and a good shape. I then started at the bottom with my first step and went from there. I put icing in between each step and when I was done iced each step individually. Once you get the hang of it , it was not that hard. You do have the set the cake to the back of the cake circle to have enough room for the steps.
