Going Away Birthday Cake

This was made for a lady who was leaving a company and her birthday is next week. All they said they wanted was chocolate cake with dark chocolate buttercream. I was told to make it as simple as possible since it was less than 24 hrs notice but I don't do simple very well. If it can be complicated, I will do that, LOL!! Wanted to say THANKS to imakecakes who helped me out with with some suggestions. It's all buttercream with the exception of the flowers which were MMF.

Thanks for the commments! All they wanted was the writing but it looked too plain after I wrote on it. I wish I could get my strings even, maybe next time.
