This was a heart cake I made in honor of Valentine's Day for my husband in cake decorating class. We used cookie cutters to form the imprint of the heart, did the border around the heart in shells, then piped stars to fill in the heart. I then piped hearts around the sides, and did a shell border around the top and bottom. I did small dots at the base of the shells to add a little extra. I didn't bake this cake (in short - up all night, cake fell on floor before class, instructor let me decorate hers).
