I just wanted another picture for my portfolio. I was pretty happy with it but wish I could get my icing smoother and my top edges much more crisp.

This is great--love the colors. I keep going back and forth working on the sides then the top. I do this several times to get a sharper edge. Love the cake stand--makes a great presentation.

Wow, you guys have made my night!! Cake Eater - the flowers on the top are just silk that I got at Micheal's. After I finished this cake my two year old son came into the kitchen and just looked at it, and then threw his ball at it. It only hit the stand and didn't mess up the cake but I almost had a heart attack. I don't know what he was thinking, he is usually so good with the cakes. I don't think he will ever do it again though. Thanks sooooo much for all the comments.
That cake is beautiful. I was just looking that your other picture which is a cake with no deco. I was wondering if that was a mistake :D but I see now that you're not into making mistakes :D. It's too bad you didn't make that cake to sell it to anyone. You would have gotten your money's worth and then some. Great job.

to get your icing smoother, use a Viva papertowel. works every time!
