I made this for a friend?s 30th birthday. She asked for pink, green and blue bunting with white spots or plain, with pink string piled on the cake and not smooth non-crusting buttercream. It was the first time I had ever got really specific directions on what someone wanted so I was nervous I would get it right but she was delighted. Victoria sponge with buttercream and raspberry conserve filling, the three tiers were also pink, green and blue. I don?t have any photos of the inside but they came out really vibrant colours which I was pleased with because the batter hadn?t looked as deep a colour as I had hoped. The bunting is fondant with tylose added.
