My best friend asked me to make a birthday cake for her grandma. I am not very good at writing yet, so it didn't have any. She picked out the colors. Looks like i need a little work on my cornelli lace as well :)
someone told me that an easy way to do cornelli lace was to make a capital R (not completely connected) and then do three capital S's. You change the direction like sometimes make the r's and s's backwards but that will help. I am still working on it too. I think it is kinda hard to get it the way I want it but I think that tip helped me maybe it will help you. I love your bottom border it looks great!

I think your cornelli looks fine. Very pretty, feminine cake. Practice writing on kids 3-line paper.
Beautiful cake! I love your bottom border! I can't seem to get mine to look that way. How did you get that effect?
It was just the rope border. I just kept the twists really tight :)
cornelli lace is tricky especially when applying to the sides of the cake...but you you did a good job!
