After seeing Smurfesque's tutorial, I had to try it for my grandson's birthday. Mine didn't turn out as nice as hers (dished area too deep and the seam too noticable) but it was my first time making a round cake. Instead of the 8" bowls she suggested, I used the Wilton 6" dome pans since I didn't want a bigger cake. Smurfesque's directions are very easy to follow and it is a fun project.
