A baby shower cake. Since it is a baby shower for a girl, I made it a two layer, Strawberry flavored cake that is pink. The theme was A BUG'S LIFE but since I don't do fondant except for covering a cake (and that is rare as most of my cakes have to be frozen before they are used), this is what I came up with.

The baby ant and the baby bottle are made out of Chocolate Rice Krispies and Regular Rice Krispies bars respectively (the idea came from my husband from watching Cake Boss...thank goodness because I didn't have a CLUE as how I was going to get these made and the antennae and legs are pipe cleaners

The ladybugs are M&Ms. I googled "What colors are Ladybugs?" and then used the rest of the M&Ms for the border. I put the candies on the cake and THEN drew the lines and the spots. My son had me connect the M&Ms which made the letters really show up as letters.

The basket weave blanket is also the first time I have every done a basket weave!

The other bugs are plastic.
