Really nice job! The top is very smooth, the flowers are beautiful and delicate looking, and your basket weave is perfect. Absolutely exquisit.

Thank you for your compliments! It's funny that you say the top is so smooth - I had to fix it after my youngest son swiped his finger through it. Best tip I ever used - smooth buttercream with a warm spatula. Thanks again! :)

This is beautiful workmanship.... what are the flowers made of... I love the bottom border but can never get mine to look right

The flowers are royal icing. I'm always surprised when my borders turn out because I never think they look right either. But you can always cover up your mistakes with a flower! :sssh:

This is very pretty and springy. Love the colors together. ;-D Just today I bought some ribbon with those very same colors thinking that I could incorporate it into a cake design. Mind if I use your idea?

I don't mind sharing but I think it's kinda hard to explain. It's just overlapping S's. I took the Wilton classes and still follow the class books for techniques. Let me know if you need more explanation and I can look it up for you. Sorry! :?
