A sweet little cake for my Mom's birthday. I wish I could take credit for the design, but really I just followed the tutorial at one of my new favorite cake blogs - jessicakesblog. :) I couldn't find black sugar pearls, but I did discover you can color plain white dragees with regular gel coloring! Just add dragees + gel coloring to a small bowl, then stir with a paintbrush for a minute or so until uniformally colored. They'll take a bit to dry, so wait at least a few minutes before adding them to your cake. TFL folks!
