Ronald Mcdonald Camp 25Th Anniversary For Icing Smiles

This cake was done with two other members on Cake Central, momade and another friend. This cake was a donation cake for Icing Smiles. It was for the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House. Their camp was celebrating their 25th Anniversary. There were almost 200 children there with cancer, plus volunteer counselors, family members as well as others. To give an idea of size, the tent served approx. 200. Three of the cakes were left and brought back to Ronald McDonald House to be served there, plus they took all the figures on the cakes. The camps theme for the week was circus, so they requested a circus theme cake. Everything on the cake is edible, except the net itself. The cakes were laid on on tables measuring 8' x 8', we had to use a queen size sheet for the table cloth. Making this cake was the greatest honor each of the 3 of us have had. The experience is one none of us are able to describe, but we each are so thankful we were given the opportunity to do this cake. In addition, one of the counselors was a Make a Wish child for the founder of Icing Smiles. How wonder he was there that day.
