I made this cake for my boyfriend's birthday. He is a Houston Texans fan and the Lonestar beer bottles were an inside joke. It was my first attempt ever to use sugar. The ice is made from isomalt and the beer bottles are made from a mix of cornstarch and sugar. The labels and bottle caps are real and are the only non edible pieces of the cake. For my first attempt at sugar work and a 3D cake, I was pretty happy with the outcome. Everyone thought the bottles were real.
