Rose cupcakes for my MIL's book of poems release party. Book is "The Next Best Thing" Poems by Linda Back McKay. We went with a rose theme because there were roses on the book cover. Triple Chocolate Fudge cupcakes with raspberry buttercream frosting. Since the frosting was red I decided to try to get a really good raspberry flavor out of the frosting by using raspberry jam, it worked! And it was delicious! Cupcake toppers are miniatures of the book with 3 poems from the book on the inside pages each individually made by me. Cupcake wrappers were made by me also. Whew! it was a lot of work but well worth it!
