Hayden's mom told me she would throw me in the creek if I made an all blue/black Batman cake. We are friends, but still I didn't want to go in the creek and she didn't want a bunch of kids with black tongues/teeth. I see her point. So I made a bat signal for Hayden, just a simple yellow buttercream iced cake with a fondant bat on top. I painted his name in the Batman style in the bat. I did have to sneak some black shells on the base for contrast, ha. No, this isn't a big technical accomplishment, but I wanted to share it in case anyone needed a new Batman cake idea (especially for a client on a budget!!).
