Jungle Cake

Hi, This is a cake I made for a little friend yesterday. She came over to my house last week and said, "Aunty Karen I want to discuss my cake" . She's just five, but knew exactly what animals she wanted and that she wanted her brother and herself on the cake. All figures are fondant with a little tylose powder added. Details like eyes, stripes on bees and spots on ladybirds are royal. A Big Thank You to Dods. Your cake was an inspiration. Karen

Terrific work! I love how there is so much to look at, things to discover, on this cake. The swirly water effect is great. 10/10, like all your work.

The little five-year-old was so happy to see herself and her brother on the cake! Thank you, all of you! Your comments mean a lot to me. Ashley, the water is fondant watered down a little bit, till it holds soft peaks. Put the blue down first. Add the white and then swirl it around with the back of a spoon. Simple!

It was fun doing all these animals. They were only about 2 inches high. I've posted pictures of the completed cake in my Photos. Thank you o0lilnikki0o and NewbeeBaker for your nice comments.

This cake is Unbelievable! You have Amazing talent! I showed my 9 year old son this cake and he loves it! He keeps saying "Hey mom...did you see that...wow look there...do you see the alligator...oh check out the monkey eating the banana...that is so neat....she thought of everything" You did such a great job!! I am just starting to try the figures with fondant/gumpaste, I just hope someday I can make mine look 1/2 as good as yours! Yours are SO Perfect!! ;-D
