Challenge cake entry for Omaha, NE RCCA Cake Show. Inspired by Cre8tiveSue's Wedding Sandcastle Cake, this cake had to incorporate 15 items chosen by the club that included corn flakes, water, jelly beans, gum balls, coins, a car, an animal, molded candy, candy bar, shell border, marzipan, etc... Lots of fun to think of how to incorporate into one cake. I used a mixture of crushed corn flakes, brown sugar, and sanding sugar for the sand. I dusted gumballs with pearl dust and put them into gumpaste shells. The crabs were molded in a silicone ice cube tray I have. I had a hard time with the bucket not drying (used 1/2 gumpaste, 1/2 Duff's fondant)
