Polka Dots With Quilled Flowers

I've been wanting to do this cake since I first saw a version here on CC a couple of years ago! French vanilla with Bavarian cream filling. The initial topper is gum paste as are most of the flowers. Green disco dust on the initial. Fondant polka dots. I love the quilling technique. It is incredibly easy...everyone should try it sometime. In fact I made a ton of different shapes earlier in the week...only problem was, they were too stiff and difficult to attach to the sides of the cake! And I had no room at the base of the board to 'sit' them. I ended up making all new stuff the day the cake was due! At least I'll have some interesting stuff to add to a sheet cake!
