Spring Princess...again...
i replaced the first photo due to sharpness...this was inspired by one of the cakes from sugar creations...emma taught me the painting technique of mixing dust with just the color gel (yep, no alcohol or extract)..thanks so much..need more practice with carving the pillow though..did this as a gift for a niece's 1st bday..

hahaha..u are absolutely right that it was you emma! i think the problem with my pillow was that it was too thick.i used 2 layers of 8x2 square cake. thank you so much again, you are so helpful!!!
Turned out beautiful! ALL of them! My goodness, how many cakes were at this party? I want to get on that guest list! LOL
i think there were 6 exluding the cupcakes i brought too..did u see that thread about what wud u feel about not cutting your cake?hmm..the mom and the relatives did not want to cut the cake i made so they served the rest but not mine..i was thinking, gosh, what wud they do with all that cake!!!

You put a lot of hard work into that ;-D I have just made my Daughters 14th B'day cake in collaboration with her and she does not want to cut it. She wants to scoop out the cake and leave the decoration - (I have not posted yet) It is my first time bow. Should have done a dummy!! :roll:

You said you need practice carving the pillow...but it actually looks like a little stool or ottoman, perfect for the shoe, so it looks like it was on purpose!!! :wink:
