Dad's 83Rd Trout Cake on Cake Central

This is a carrot cake base made with 'filling' the servings with cream cheese frosting. I used a wooden spoon to poke holes in the cake and filled them instead of layering the cake. The fish is lemon chiffon cake with lemon cream cheese frosting. The base was covered in chocolate fondant then painted with a combination of piping gel and brown icing tint. The fish was covered in marshmallow fondant then painted with clear piping gel, I then mixed Wilton sparkle gel in green with a dab of brown icing tint and painted on the greens, I then mixed up the peachy pink colour for the rainbow trout stripe. I then used plain white sparkle gel to cover the plain white fondant to give it the sheen of fish scales.
