Cake is a chocolate half sheet with BC icing. I decided to incorporate into the cake some of the cookies that I've been doing. Cookies are the mermaid, sea shell, fish and starfish and they are decorated in fondant. The water is done in blue sanding sugar and the coral and grasses are made of gumpaste. The plastic mermaid in the upper right corner was provided by the client. It was a fun cake to make.
